Give Back This Holiday Season: Join the Seasons of Giving Food Drive at Meridian at Eisenhower Station
The holidays are a time for community, and there's no better way to celebrate than by giving back. This year Meridian at Eisenhower Station is partnering with Move For Hunger for our annual Seasons of Giving Food Drive. From November 1st to December 15th, we invite all residents and neighbors to help us fight food insecurity right here in the DC Metro Region. The statistics are sobering. This year, our local food banks have seen an increase in demand, leaving many families in our area facing the holiday season with uncertainty. Your past generosity has already made a huge impact—during our Hunger Action Month drive this September, Paradigm Property residents and team members came together to donate an incredible 1,250 pounds of food! Let's build on that success and make this our biggest holiday drive yet. How to Participate: Participating is easy and convenient for everyone. Simply visit the Concierge to pick up a donation bag, or use one of your own. Fill it with unopened, non-perishable food items and return it to the front desk. Food Bank Best Practices: To ensure your donation is as helpful as possible, please keep a few things in mind: Opt for Pull-Tabs: Cans with pull-tab tops are especially appreciated, as recipients may not have can openers. Avoid Glass Containers: For safety during transport, please do not donate items in glass jars. Check Expiration Dates: Ensure all items are well within their expiration date. Most Needed Items: Food banks have specific needs that can make a huge difference. While all non-perishable donations are welcome, consider contributing some of these high-demand items: Canned tuna, chicken, or salmon (in water) Peanut butter Low-sodium canned soups and stews Canned fruits (in juice or water) and vegetables Whole-grain pasta, rice, and cereal Shelf-stable milk and juice boxes Every donation, no matter the size, helps put a meal on the table for a family in need. By working together, we can reduce food waste and help our community this holiday season. Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
