Good Location Price|Recommended: YesI was looking to downsize and find an apartment closer to work. This met all my needs with a very reasonable price for location. Staff and tenants are very friendly and the amenities are great. If your looking for easy access to the metro in a nice area give this place a look
A great place to call home in Alexandria.|Recommended: YesThe combination of location, amenities and price all add up to great value.
I love the Meridian Eisenhower |Recommended: YesI would tell them it's the best place to live. Staff is fabulous and they go out of their way to ensure your happiness. Move here
Out of 24 apartments I chose this one|Recommended: YesIn moving to the area I visited 24 apartment buildings 6 in Silver Spring, MD the rest mostly in Arlington Alexandria . Given a lot of time to create metrics and make a decision as I had a lot of flexibility in transitioning to a new DC office from Pennsylvania I've been living here for 3 months and would struggle to be happier. I can only provide my experience, so some of the information may be different depending on when you read this. Rent It's pricy, but compares favorably to similar options considering amenities etc... on a ft basis. Depending on your move-in dates and unit availability you may be able to find a good deal. For me, the ft here was 14 lower than any other similar option, and 32 lower than the average property I looked at. I will say that the apartment finishes were definitely on the lower end by comparison, but they are still nice and certainly nice enough to justify not paying 15-30 more. I was given an estimate of a 3-5 annual rent increase which also seemed to be typical for the area for the properties that were able to give me that information. Fees As far as fees, including application fees, amenities fees, security deposits, and move-in fees Meridian is definitely on the cheaper end. There was no amenity fee or security deposit required, and the move-in fee was applied toward my first month's rent as part of some kind of special. So all together I incurred a 50 application fee moving in the standard in the area seems to be 35- 50, and is sometimes waived if you sign a lease within 24-48 hours of touring . Parking Parking is available for 75 month in the garage 50- 100 is what I found to be typical for this area . Between the levels reserved for residents all but the entry-level I've never had an issue finding a spot. The gate garage opener is annoying and inconvenient, but it works. Unit For reference I have a 1BR with den and sunroom 943 ft . It's carpeting throughout except bathroom kitchen of course . Kitchen For me, this is one of the biggest drawbacks. The kitchen is on the smaller side, but space is a premium in general so I get it. I like to cook a lot and it's tough to do so in an efficient way in the tight space. The cabinetry is fine, the oven is electric which is unfortunately pretty standard in properties I looked . At one point I had an issue with my oven --I submitted a work order online and my oven was replaced with a new one within 24 hours. Living Room Bedroom Bathroom Den All of these spaces are fine. There's a full size washer dryer in the bathroom. Design-wise I think many light switches are in dumb places, but they mostly work. The thermostat is not programmable which is annoying, so you need to remember to change it before leaving if you want to save money. Gym If you like to lift you're going to have a join an actual gym. There are a few treadmills, a rowing machine, and maybe a bike and elliptical or two for cardio. The only free weights are dumbbells up to 50 , so even as a relatively small guy it's not enough for chest, legs, or back. They have a few assistance work machines including a lat pull down seated row station, a cable station, press machine, leg curl machine, and a few others. Again, if you want to do deadlifts, squats, and barbell presses you're going to have to join a gym living in most places. A few I visited had smith machines which would be nice in comparison no smith machine, but obviously it'd be nicer to have a squat rack or cage which I think I only had seen at 1 24 places . Other Amenities There's a club room on the 25th floor no true rooftop deck with a pool table, television and sitting areas. I haven't spent much time there, but it seems fine. There's a 4th floor courtyard area with newly added grills. There is also a pool on one of the lower roofs 12th floor , it's shallow on the order of 4' , but that's typical for apartment pools in properties I've seen. They also have a dry-cleaning service in the building. Cable Internet Comcast is your only option, which sucks because Comcast is the absolute worst. This isn't Meridian's fault though as it's an area-wide monopoly thing, but I hope this changes in the future. Utilities So far 95 Electric I keep thermostat 75-78 in summer, so I think this is very high and a possible HVAC issue , 22 Water, 22 Gas. Concierge Nothing but great for me. Always friendly, very helpful and available more hours than most other places for package pick up. Location You are a 2 minute or so walk to the metro. Whole foods is in walking distance, but it's a little bit of hike if you're carrying anything heavy. There's a Giant that's a short drive away as well. You're also in walking distance to Old Town which is great and has tons of restaurant options, but it's definitely a walk. There's a capital bikeshare right in front of the building if you want to get there a little quicker and don't feel like driving.
This is a very nice apartment property.|Recommended: YesI would recommend this property as clean, safe, and good amenties. Although rent is expensive, you get what you pay for.
I think it's very comfortable living here|Recommended: YesI always tell them it's worth the rent.
Meridian Fan|Recommended: YesI have rented at this building for seven years and I cannot say enough great things about the staff, the accommodations, or the service Everything about the Meridian Eisenhower is quality. Every time I come home, I'm greeted as though I'm family - and I feel the same about them. Rent a home here - you won't regret it
Renter Beware|Recommended: NoUnder Terms and Conditions 1. Modifications to Terms Entrata reserves the right to change or modify any of the terms and conditions contained herein, at any time and in its sole discretion. So regardless of what I post here, they will remove it in order to portray a false 5 star rating. Go to yelp or google to review the true reviews of this apartment complex. My advice, buyer beware. Plain and simple. Problems exist with parking, noise, tenants, the gym, the pool, the patio, the billing cycle, misleading management, cleanliness, fire alarms, moving-in. I've posted an in-depth review on yelp and google, please check it out. I will screen shot this review.

No Complaints|Recommended: YesEverything is as it should be. Clean, orderly, and quiet.
I love this property |Recommended: YesI would tell folks looking for a new apartment home that the building is wonderfully located close to Alexandria, excellently staffed with professional employees and very fun to live in. The noise within the building is minimal - I barely ever hear my neighbors. It is located close to a metro, so I have some noise from that but it doesn't bother me at all. If you don't like metro noise, ask for an apartment on the non-metro side of the building. All in all, I am very happy living here.
Great Location and great amenities |Recommended: YesIts convenient to both alexandria and getting to and from DC on the metro.
Overpriced|Recommended: Nohighly overpriced for what you get- I was told the building across the street would be 14 levels- it's FAR more than that- construction is loud- even on weekends. Too many rules when it comes to package pickup, buying stamps. Letting friends up is a hassle because there's so much security that it becomes a burden. Maintenance team is incredible- the rest of the staff can come off slightly rude at times as if asking them to do their job is an inconvenience for them. Waiting for my lease to expire and I will not renew- I wouldn't recommend this property to family friends.
Wonderful property |Recommended: YesPerfect The maintenance staff, concierge staff, leasing office staff are all amazing The location is perfect and the grounds are well maintained
Living at the Meridian at Eisenhower|Recommended: YesI love the convenience and the friendly staff. The building is a great place to live I do however, disagree with the pet policies that restrict certain breeds of dogs. I believe that concessions should be made if an owner is willing to prove that they will place their dog of a less favorable breed in a discipline class and submit proof of successful completion.
Great place to live|Recommended: YesEmployees, management, and maintenance staff are all super friendly, incredibly nice, and very prompt with questions, concerns, and problems. Excellent location for the metro, parking is good, and security is high - the Alexandria courthouse is a cpl blocks away, and police patrol regularly.
Shawn, We are so thankful for the review and that you love your home at the Meridian at Eisenhower! Sincerely, Taryn S.
